Registering for BAM Orientation will begin on April 21, 2008. You will receive an invitation to register for the orientation. You must be admitted to SAU in order to register for orientation. The registration process must be completed online by clicking “Register Now”. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited at each orientation. If you arrive without a reservation, you will not be able to register for classes.

What will you need to provide at orientation:

• ACT placement scores
• Concurrent or dual credit from any college courses completed

What will you be asked?

• What will be your declared major?
• Are you participating in any extracurricular activities?
• Are you participating in any special residential (housing) programs at SAU?

What if I don’t have a major?

You should indicate that you are “undecided.” You will be assigned to an advisor in the Academic Advising and Assistance Center who knows the curriculum requirements of all majors and can help you choose courses that will keep your options open as the advisor helps you explore majors and careers.

What will you receive?

You will receive an e-mail response to confirm your date for orientation. Please print a copy of your confirmation.

You will receive an e-mail link to documents that need to be completed and returned to SAU prior to your orientation date. These documents can be completed and e-mailed back to SAU. If you don’t have access to e-mail or internet, the forms will be mailed to you.

You will receive additional information after you have completed your online registration. Prior to that you can consult our web page at www.saumag.edu/bam.

What date should you pick?

Please note that thorough preparation is made to insure that your BAM Orientation is individualized to meet your needs. Please take careful consideration when choosing your date. Check your schedule and that of your parents/guests carefully. You will not be guaranteed that another date will be available. If you must change your date, you need to call (870)235-5175 or e-mail bam@saumag.edu as soon as you know that your plans have changed. Make certain that you can stay until 3:00 p.m.
