What is BAM?
Orientation is a required two-part program designed for new first year SAU students.
BAM - Part I takes place on selected dates during June, July, and August. There are 10 one-day programs to choose from.
What students will do:
- Meet with an academic advisor to learn about academic requirements and class scheduling.
- You will leave orientation with a copy of your fall schedule and your student ID.
- A financial aid representative will provide you with your financial aid status.
- For students living on campus, room assignments will be distributed.
- You will also receive your campus e-mail and access to Campus Connect (SAU’s student information system).
- Also, campus tours will be available at the end of the program.
Vaccinations available:
Health Services staff will be available to provide students with immunization updates or other shots. Please keep in mind that all incoming freshmen need to have two MMR shots listed on their immunization records. Meningitis immunizations are available for no charge for students under the age of 19. Note that other shots are available and will require a fee. If you have questions, you can visit the University Health Services during your visit.
Plan to be with us for a full day! The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m.
